After the recent war and as to the international agreements with the Coalition Forces in Iraq, Italy was entrusted with the task of reorganizing the health offer in Baghdad and in the An Nasiriyah area, by operating structures and institutions.

Mr Lucarelli’s team was in contact for many years with the Child Hospital in Baghdad, making transplants on a great deal of patients and giving hospitality to Iraqi physicians in its own center to teach and help to achieve specialization.

The IME Foundation immediately put into action to help in any manner this tortured country.

So far, almost 170 Iraqi people are given hospitality in Italy to be treated for the purpose.
