Guiding principles of savechildrenlife.org

Subsidiarity:

According to this principle, any higher form of society should not undertake a task belonging to a lower society, so as not to deprive it of its skills, but rather should support it when necessary.

Trasparency:

SCL acts and communicates in a transparent manner, to let all those who are involved know about operating policy, and the economic, financial and social implications of each activity undertaken.

Equity:

Upholding its standards of justice and equity, SCL acts in such a way as to exclude any prejudice or partiality.

Independence:

SCL undertakes to avoid any practice or action that may compromise its independence, whether in receiving donations, taking decisions on projects, or avoiding conflicts of interests which may prejudice or may not be subordinated to the effort to accomplish our mission.

Effectiveness:

SCL undertakes to use all its available means, including labor, financial resources, and goods and services either received or created, in such a way as to pursue the organization’s collective purposes to the highest degree possible.

Efficiency:

SCL undertakes to coordinate efficiently the contributions of various individuals (donors, volunteers, collaborators) as they contribute, each in their own way to carrying out the mission, so that no community resource is wasted.

Further, we undertake to maintain conditions that allow the different individuals working to carry out their mission to maintain the highest degree of engagement through time.

Congruency:

SCL undertakes to take decisions and actions always and exclusively aimed at achieving the objectives and purposes of the mission, directly or indirectly. They pledge to provide themselves with the instruments and organizational processes needed for planning, achieving, verifying and accounting for the principles and values of the organization.
