The Thalassaemia International Project is an Italian initiative of development cooperation, overcoming the traditional ways of offering help and support, and proposing an action model based on clinical-scientific know how transmission and teaching.
Instead of having people treated directly, the scientific know-how will be directly brought to suffering people, raising cooperations between the Italian sanitary system and those of the countries involved.
Therefore, the Project aims at treating to the root a very serious disease, widespread in the Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern areas, but also in Asia, India and China.
