What disease know-how

The Project Know How is based on the clinical-scientific experience developed by the team led by Professor Mr Guido Lucarelli, who effected about 1400 allogenic transplants from 1981 on patients coming from all over the world.

During the years, Mr Lucarelli’s team became by far the first specialist structure in the world as far as Thalassaemia treatment is concerned, in terms of results, performances volume and advancement in the scientific research.

Mr Lucarelli’s team experience joined IME Foundation together with that of the team led by Professor Mr Franco Mandelli, eminent Italian haematologist with a long and consolidated experience in oncological and haematological diseases.
