The main Projects actions are::

• treatment activities by bone marrow transplant, to respond immediately to the great number of requests coming from many countries to the Italian treatment centers, due to their international primacy as to hematological diseases treatment, thalassaemia in particular.
  
• learning and teaching activities for sanitary teams (physicians, nurses, biologists, technicians) with training-on-the-job methods, front learning, monography sessions, etc, carried out together with the treatment activity on patients coming from the same countries
  
• scientifical research activities through projects consolidating and further developping the Italian primacy in this health field;
• clinical-scientifical, technological and organization know-how transmission to transplant centers to set up in the countries partners to the initiative. The aim of the project is to bring treatment directly to the populations which are more affected and to raise the level of the local response..
